In this world where right seems wrong
And contradictions sing their song
Men’s words and deeds oft veer astray
In this intricate dance of night and day

They condemn your ambition and drive
And bind you with expectations contrive
To serve, to please, to bear the weight
Yet falter once, face unjust fate

Expected to serve with unwavering grace
While their promises find no firm place
To sacrifice your dreams, your art, your voice
While they dictate your path, leaving little choice

They plead for absolution when they err
Yet blame you for the slightest stir
In this world where standards sway
And love’s pure essence begins to fray

They want to conquer, to explore
But shy away from something more
In this maze of wants and desires
Where passion dims and love expires

My dear, if you join this earthly play
Guard your heart, your spirit, your way
Seek love that’s pure, that holds you dear
In this world of shadows, never fear.
